Eating in St. Julian’s: Raffael: where flavour and atmosphere come together

What’s travel without good food? Exactly… incomplete! And that’s why St. Julian’s is the perfect place to be. At Raffael — right on the charming Spinola Bay — you can sit back and enjoy steaming plates of pasta, crispy wood-fired pizzas, and a stunning view over the bay. Picture this: a warm evening, the pleasant buzz of people all around you, and the irresistible smell of freshly baked dough in the air. Add a glass of good wine, and you’ll instantly understand why this spot is one of my absolute favorites.

Evening walk from St. Julian’s to Sliema

Full from all that food? Perfect time for a coastal walk to Sliema. The sea gently keeps you company as you pass by jogging locals, strolling tourists, and terraces filled with laughter. Now and then, a street musician adds that little extra magic to the evening. Warm air, a laid-back vibe … Malta by night just gets it right.

By bus to Valletta: time travel in a day

A bus ride to Valletta? Super affordable. Once you arrive, you walk straight through those thick, ancient city walls. Around every corner, narrow streets unfold with colorful balconies hanging above. Sometimes it’s a bit of a climb, but that’s all part of the charm. And don’t worry — there are plenty of cozy terraces and cute little shops waiting to be discovered.

Step inside St. John’s Co-Cathedral, where everything glitters with gold and Caravaggio’s masterpieces make you forget the world around you. Once back outside, take a stroll to the Upper Barrakka Gardens. The view from up there? Absolutely next level. This is Valletta at its finest. Trust me — you’ve got to see it with your own eyes.

Boat tour around Malta: bluer than blue does exist

Malta from the water? I say: go for it! On a boat tour, you’ll cruise past dramatic cliffs, secret caves and stunning bays where time feels like it’s standing still. And then comes the showstopper: the Blue Lagoon. Water so clear you can see your own shadow dancing on the sea floor. You dive in, snorkel with curious little fish, or float like a sea turtle on your air mattress. With the sun on your face and salt in your hair, there’s only one thought: it honestly doesn’t get better than this.

Jeep Safari in Gozo: Rugged, Dusty and Unforgettable

Gozo is basically Malta’s tough little sister. Perfect for a day packed with adventure. Hop in a jeep, speed along winding dirt roads, wind in your hair, sunglasses on — and just smile. Honestly, every stop is a “wow, look at this!” moment. From the rugged coastline at Dwejra Bay to the peaceful, almost magical Ta’ Pinu Basilica that feels like a hidden gem you stumbled upon. And the views? Absolutely insane. Raw, untouched, and totally Instagram-worthy. No filter needed.

Marsaxlokk: colourful charm and lingering flavours

In Marsaxlokk, the brightly colored luzzus gently float on the waves in the soft morning light. There’s an air of the past here — fishermen’s tales and the heat of bustling market days. Take a seat on a terrace by the harbor, order a plate of lampuki, and let the sun work its magic. And don’t miss the market: herbs bursting with summer scents, handmade trinkets each with their own story. A place full of atmosphere and flavor.

Malta Beaches: From the Sand Between Your Toes to Hidden Coves

Don’t feel like doing anything but relaxing? Malta’s beaches have got you covered! For the ultimate beach day, head to Golden Bay: soft golden sand, crystal-clear water, and a tropical cocktail in your hand — yes, with one of those adorable little parasols, of course. But if you’re after something a bit more special, Ghajn Tuffieha is your hidden treasure. This cozy bay is tucked between rugged cliffs. The walk down is a breeze, but the climb back up … well, your calves will definitely feel it. But once you’re there, watching the sunset set the sky on fire, you’ll know it was totally worth it.

Malta: the island that stays with you

From lazy days floating in the Blue Lagoon to speeding along Gozo’s dusty trails. From food that will make you fall in love to viewpoints that take your breath away. Malta isn’t just a destination – it’s an experience. A sun-drenched adventure filled with stories, scents, flavors, and wow moments. So … what are you waiting for? Malta is calling.
